Updated: Oct 1, 2023 In late August 2023, after rigorous system testing, FSubsea shipped it's first commercial delivery of a Flocean subsea desalination plant to a client in the Red Sea. The system takes advantage of the clean and naturally pressurized water at 300 to 600 meter water depths near shore, to produce climate-smart and ocean-friendly freshwater using proven seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) technology.
